YORK, Pa.– Wesley College's Steph Caracozza has been named to the Capital Athletic Conference Softball All-Conference Team, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday morning. Caracozza is just the second Wolverine (Ashlyn Booth in 2011 & 2012) to be named to the All-CAC Softball Team since Wesley joined the conference in 2008.
A freshman outfielder from Wayne, N.J., Caracozza led the Wolverines with a .412 batting average and 47 hits from the leadoff spot. She also recorded a team-high 15 multi-hit games, which included five games with at least three hits, as well as eight outfield assists.
Caracozza's first collegiate season already put her near the top of several Wesley single-season categories. Her 47 hits were the fourth most in a single-season season while her .412 average ranks ninth.
The Wolverines finished the season at 12-23 overall.
