2 Arrested After Drugs Found at Delmar Home

Posted:

DELMAR, Del. (AP) - The Delaware State Police says two people have been arrested at a Delmar home where a large amount of heroin was found.

Troopers say they arrived at the home in the 15000 block of Denise Boulevard on Thursday around 8 p.m. to conduct a follow up on an investigation. When they arrived, one trooper could see a man through the window as he carried a white plastic bag into the kitchen and placed it under the sink.

After troopers were let inside they were given permission to search. The bag under the sink was found to contain more than 200 grams heroin and less than a gram of crack cocaine.

Troopers arrested 25-year-old Devaurus Bowen of Salisbury, the man seen carrying the bag, and 20-year-old Chelsea Shelton of Delmar. Both face a series of drug charges.
