DELMAR, Md.- Authorities have ruled as arson an early Monday fire that caused thousands of dollars in damage to a home in Delmar, Md.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the blaze broke out at around 12:19 a.m. at a two-story home located at 708 E. State St.

It took 70 firefighters from the Delmar, Hebron, Salisbury Station 2, Parsonsburg, Sharptown, Laurel and Gumboro fire departments approximately one hour to get the fire under control.

There were no reported injuries. The fire caused an estimated $30,000 in damage to the structure and another $10,000 in damage to its contents.

According to investigators, the fire started in the crawl space of the home and was intentionally set.
