Convicted murderer dies after illness in Del. prison

SMYRNA, Del.- Delaware Department of Correction officials say an inmate serving three life sentences for a 1995 slaying has died after an illness.

Forty-eight-year-old James T. Crowe of Edgemoor died Tuesday night at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna.

Crowe convicted of first-degree murder, first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary in the killing of John Kilbride of Christiana.

Crowe's body has been turned over to the State Medical Examiner's Office.
