Police Conduct Death Investigation After Body Found Along Del. Beach

FOWLER BEACH, De.- Delaware State Police are conducting a death investigation after a body was discovered washed ashore along Fowler Beach near Milton early Thursday afternoon.

Police said that around 12:15 p.m., a person walking along Fowler Beach discovered a body washed up on the shoreline. Troopers and Department of Natural Resources Fish and Wildlife officers responded to the area where the body was secured.

The body was removed from the scene and turned over to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where police said an autopsy will be conducted to determined the deceased's identity and cause and manner of death.

Police said that at this time foul play is not suspected in this case.
