LEWES, Del. (AP) - The Cape Water Taxi has returned to the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal for a second season.
Service began Friday with a weekend schedule until 7-day service begins June 14.
A second vessel, The Discovery, 72-passenger boat with two restrooms joins the Mummichog, the 26-seat boat that operated last year. Owner David Green said that the new boat will make the service's schedule more flexible when it debuts next month.
The service will add a new stop at Bayside's Paradise Grill docks as the water taxi travels to Long Neck for eco tours and sunset cruises. It will add two new cruise programs: a 90-minute Kid's Camp cruise that will teach about inland waterways and a sightseeing cruise from Lewes to Rehoboth Bay.
