DOVER, Del. (AP/WBOC)- The jury in the Kent County trial of two men charged in a 2011 bank robbery that resulted in shots being fired at police and a motel standoff is taking a break for the holiday weekend.

Jurors resume deliberations Tuesday in the case of William Sells III and Russell M. Grimes, who were charged with a host of crimes, including robbery, conspiracy, attempted murder and aggravated menacing.

The case involves the August 2011 armed robbery of the First National Bank of Wyoming branch on Irish Hill Road in Felton. Grimes was arrested shortly after the robbery after being shot by a state trooper. Sells eluded authorities for a week before he was tracked down at a motel near Dover.

Police negotiated with Sells for nearly five hours before storming the motel room and taking him into custody.
