Md. Mom Sues Those Who Had Daughters' Porn Images

Posted: Updated:

BALTIMORE (AP)- A Maryland mother is suing more than 200 people she said had pornographic images of her two young daughters.

The federal lawsuit filed Tuesday in Baltimore said that in 2008 the girls, then 4 and 6, were forced to engage in sexual acts with their father. The lawsuit said the girls' father and another man produced the pornographic images and video to gain entry into a group of individuals who trade child pornography.

The children's father and a co-defendant have pleaded guilty to federal charges relating to the production of pornography and are serving decades in prison, the lawsuit said.

The girls' mother, who goes by Jane Doe in the complaint, is seeking millions of dollars. The lawsuit named 84 individuals and 182 others as "John Doe." It said the individuals had pictures and video of the girls and that images of the girls were known as the "DKNY" and "YKND" series.

The lawsuit said the anonymous defendants were identified through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's Child Victim Identification Program.

Law enforcement submitted evidence the individuals had images of the girls. The named defendants have been charged with receipt of child pornography, and the U.S. Department of Justice has indicated that images of the children were recovered from those individuals' computers, the lawsuit said.

The lawsuit said the children, now ages 7 and 9, live in fear that "any person they encounter in their daily lives may recognize them" from the images.
