SALISBURY, Md.- Authorities are investigating the cause of an early Friday fire that heavily damaged a Salisbury home.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the blaze broke out shortly after 2 a.m. at a one story home located at 1409 Chester St.

It took 35 firefighters from the Salisbury, Fruitland and Delmar fire companies approximately 45 minutes to get the fire under control.

There were no reported injuries.

The fire reportedly caused an estimated $80,000 in damage to the structure, and another $15,000 in damage to its contents.

Investigators determined the fire started on a rear porch, but the cause is still unknown. Anyone with additional information about this incident is asked to call the State Fire Marshal's Office at (410) 713-3780.
