Man Stabbed During O.C. Boardwalk Fight

OCEAN CITY, Md.- Authorities say a man remains hospitalized for multiple stab wounds he received during a large fight that broke out over the weekend on the Ocean City boardwalk.

Ocean City police said that at around 3:35 a.m. Sunday, officers and paramedics were called to The Stowaway Grand Hotel on Baltimore Avenue. Upon arrival, they located the victim of a stabbing, identified as a 22-year-old Washington, D.C. man, in the hotel lobby. Police said the victim, whose name is not being released, was bleeding from numerous stab wounds.

According to police, the preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had gotten into a fight on the boardwalk in front of the Stowaway. Witnesses told officers that approximately 30 persons were involved in the fight, at which time the victim was repeated stabbed and then helped into the hotel lobby by unidentified citizens.

The victim was treated at the scene by Ocean City EMS and transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury for further treatment. The victim was last reported to be in stable condition.
