Pedestrian Struck by SUV in Del. Dies

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WBOC/AP) - Delaware State police say a pedestrian injured when she was hit by a car while running across a road in New Castle has died.

Troopers say 30-year-old Brandi Baldwin of Bear died late Wednesday morning at Christiana Hospital, where she was taken after the June 5 accident.

Police said Baldwin and 48-year-old Dominic Dillard of Georgetown were hit by an SUV driven by 47-year-old Randall Youboty of Lansdowne, Pa. when they tried to cross South DuPont Parkway about 10:10 p.m.

Dillard was admitted to Christiana Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Youboty and the five passengers of his SUV were not injured in the crash, police said.

No charges have been filed.
