Salisbury Woman Arrested for Embezzlement

SALISBURY, Md.- Police have arrested a Salisbury woman accused of embezzling thousands of dollars from a local business where she was employed.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said 44-year-old Crystal Godwin was taken into custody Tuesday on a recently issued a Wicomico County Circuit Court indictment charging her with embezzlement and theft scheme: $1,000-$10,000.

According to court documents, Godwin is accused of embezzling money from her now-former employer over an extended length of time, dating as far back as 2008.

Following her arrest on the aforementioned charges, Godwin was released on $25,000 property bond.
