WASHINGTON (AP)- Tens of thousands of power outages are reported following thunderstorms and possible tornadoes in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Montgomery County's emergency management office says it has gotten reports of a tornado touchdown Thursday afternoon near the northern Washington suburb of Aspen Hill.
