Firefighters responded to the scene and were able to control the fire, which was in one unit of the building, a short time later.

OCFD Chief Chris Larmore said, "We responded to the scene and were able to contain the fire very quickly. The members of the OCFD did a great job acting promptly and professionally to prevent this incident from escalating."

One person was treated at the scene and released with minor injuries.

The initial damage assessment is unknown.
