Washington College Baseball Player's North Carolina Experience

Pitching Coach/Recruiting Coordinator Ted Hurvul of the Washington College baseball team is spending his summer in North Carolina as pitching coach for the Edenton Steamers in the prestigious Coastal Plains League. He reflects on his early experience from summer ball:

In the Coastal Plain Collegiate Summer League here in Edenton, North Carolina, my summer ball experience has been awesome so far. I am learning a lot from coaching with the other coaches who come from different programs and have different experiences. I am also learning a lot talking to and coaching high level Division I and II players who are on the team.

We are currently 14-4, having won 10 straight games, ranking the Steamers fifth out of all the summer league teams in the country.

Summer ball is a great experience that I am fortunate enough to be a part of. I get to live with a host family and meet and coach new people from all over the country. It's something that I will remember for the rest of my life and for short term, bring what I learn and experience back to WAC with me.
