Delaware State Police Investigating Rehoboth Crash

REHOBOTH, Del. Delaware State Police are investigating a crash involving a car and an RV in Sussex County.

Troopers said the crash happened just before 6:30 p.m. Friday on Route 1 at George Street in Rehoboth. According to police, a 2001 Honda Civic was heading North on Coastal Highway at the time of the crash. Police said the car was being driven by a 29-year-old male with a 27-year-old female passenger. As the car was exiting the roadway, police said it hit a parked RV.

According to police, the female passenger was trapped inside the vehicle for approximately 45 minutes. She was extricated by the fire department and taken to Beebe Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Police said the driver was not injured.

Troopers said charges are pending as they continue to investigate the crash.
