FRUITLAND, Md.- Police are investigating what caused a single-car crash that injured four people Monday evening in Fruitland.

Fruitland police said officers responded to the area of Route 13 and South Division Street just before 5 p.m. According to police, a pPreliminary investigation indicates the car hit a tree before rolling over.

One adult and two children were taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Police said a female adult passenger was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore where she is listed in critical condition.
