Driver Charged in Millsboro Tractor-Trailer Crash

Posted: Updated:

MILLSBORO, Del.- Delaware State Police have charged a driver in connection with a tractor-trailer crash that caused U.S. 113 north of Millsboro to be shut down Thursday afternoon.

Police said the incident occurred around 3:20 p.m., as 43-year-old Matthew W. Blosser, of New Castle, was operating a 2003 Kenworth tractor-trailer southbound on US113 and approaching Bark Pond Road. Troopers said that as the truck began to turn eastbound on Bark Pond Road, the trailer portion began to roll over and came to a stop in the northbound lanes of U.S. 113.

Authorities said Blosser, who was properly restrained, was not injured in the crash.  He was cited for careless driving and no proof of insurance.

U.S. 113 at Bark Pond Road was closed for approximately one and a half hours as the crash was investigated and cleared.
