Suspect Sought in Frankford Home Invasion

FRANKFORD, Del.- Delaware State Police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a home invasion robbery that occurred late Thursday night in Frankford.

Police said the incident occurred at around 10:20 p.m. at a home on the 34000 block of DuPont Boulevard.

According to police, the 26-year-old male victim was sleeping in his bedroom when he heard some noise coming from the kitchen. Investigators said that as the victim entered the kitchen, he observed a male suspect standing next to a table where an undisclosed amount of cash was laying.

Troopers said the victim noticed the suspect take the money from the table and when he attempted to subdue the intruder, he was punched in the face before the suspect ran out of the home and fled in an unknown direction. The victim did not require any medical attention as a result of the incident, police said.

Investigators said the suspect was further described as black, between 5-foot-10 and 5-foot-11, 140-160 pounds and average build with short hair. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, dark pants and black shoes. The suspect did not display any weapon, police said.
