DSU Bowling Team Makes the Grade

DOVER, Del.- The Delaware State University bowling team ranks among the nation's best in the classroom. The Hornets are tied for 12th in the second annual National Ten Pin Coaches Association team grade-point average list.

Delaware State had a team GPA of 3.38 (on a 4.0 scale) for the 2012-13 academic year.
Alabama A&M topped the list with a 3.80 team grade-point-average.

The NTCA recognized 23 institutions with a team GPA of at least 3.2 this past season.

Delaware State's Ashlen Kuhar (jr.; Mountain Top, Pa./Criminal Justice), Stephanie Sheridan (fr.; Factoryville, Pa./Elementary Education); Ryanne Tyler (fr.; Sewickley, Pa./Physical Education) and Noe'l Walker (so.; Winston-Salem, N.C./Political Science) were Honorable Mention Academic All-NTCA.

Six DSU bowlers had GPAs of 3.0 or higher during the 2012-13 academic year.
