Rehoboth Drawbridge Closed to Marine Traffic

Posted:

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (AP) - A drawbridge over the Lewes & Rehoboth Canal is closed to marine traffic through the holiday weekend.

The Rehoboth Drawbridge on Delaware 1A, also known as Rehoboth Avenue, links Church and Canal streets.

The Delaware Department of Transportation has closed the drawbridge to marine traffic until at least 3 p.m. Monday because a bridge interlocking system is malfunctioning. The drawbridge is open to vehicle traffic.

DelDOT maintenance crews will work to repair the bridge.
