Suspect Charged in Salisbury Bank Robbery

SALISBURY, Md.- Police have arrested a suspect accused of robbing the PNC Bank branch at 1512 S. Salisbury Blvd. in Salisbury. 

James Ryan Burke, 27, of Salisbury, is charged with robbery and theft: $1,000 to under $10,000.

Deputies Wicomico Bureau of Investigation said that shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday, Burke entered the bank and presented the teller with a note demanding money. Burke then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to investigators. 

Wicomico County sheriff's deputies originally responded to the scene, and later contacted the WBI, which continued the investigation. Police said the investigation led to Burke being identified as the suspect, who was later located and taken into custody.

Following his arrest on the aforementioned charges, Burke was ordered held in the Wicomico County Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
