Easton Man Charged With Animal Cruelty


EASTON, Md.- An Easton man is facing animal cruelty charges following accusations that he left his dog locked up inside a hot vehicle in a store parking lot.

Easton police said that on July 7, 53-year-old Dennis Earl Tuttle had left his dog inside a vehicle for more than 30 minutes in the Wal-Mart parking lot before officers could get it out due to it being in distress. The temperature was 88 degrees with a heat index of 95, according to investigators.

On Thursday, July 18, officers served a Talbot Count District Court criminal summons on Tuttle, charging him with one count each of animal cruelty and animal cruelty by failing to provide.
