Suspect Sought in Salisbury Sex Attack

SALISBURY, Md.- Authorities are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted for sexually assaulting a woman in Salisbury.

Salisbury police said that shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a reported sex assault that had occurred the by the railroad tracks in the area of East Main Street. The victim stated that she had been assaulted by a suspect whom she had been acquainted with earlier in the day, investigators said.

Police said that after the assault, the suspect rode away from the area on a red and black bicycle.

Detectives recovered a photograph of the suspect from a nearby business and are attempting to identify him. He is described as Hispanic, is known as "Tony" or "Larry," is 5-foot-7, approximately 35 years of age and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a blue and white baseball style hat, light in color polo style shirt with horizontal strips, blue jeans, and dark shoes.  

Anyone with information about this incident or the suspect's identity should contact the Salisbury Police Department at (410) 548-3165 or Crime Solvers at (410) 548-1776. Crime Solvers will pay up to $1,000 for tips that lead to arrest.
