Man Shot in Dover; Suspect Sought


DOVER, Del.- Police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting in Dover that left a man injured.

Dover police said that at around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a report of shots fired at the intersection of Wyoming Avenue and New Burton Road.

Shortly thereafter, a 20-year-old male victim showed up at BayHealth Medical Center's emergency room in Smyrna with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Police said the investigation that followed revealed that this occurred at the intersection in Dover. According to police, the victim had been seated in the passenger seat of the vehicle when he was shot by a male suspect operating a dark colored Ford Crown Victoria with tinted windows.

The investigation also revealed that this incident was drug-related, police said.

According to police, the suspect was described by police as black, wearing a white tank top with black shorts, described as muscular build with short hair.
