WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Two Wilmington police officers helped deliver the baby of a third officer when his wife went into labor in their home.

Police say Stacy Geiser, wife of Officer Matthew Geiser, began having labor pains about 3 a.m. Sunday. The officer called 911 when his wife became experiencing a rapid delivery.

Officers Brian McCanney and Chris Cain arrived as Stacy Geiser began actively delivering. Police say with Matthew Geiser and Cain by her side, McCanney safely delivered a 6-pound, 7-ounce girl about 4:30 p.m.

EMS personnel arrived and took Stacy and Sadie Marie Geiser to a nearby hospital. They are expected to be released on Tuesday.
