WILMINGTON, Del. (AP)- Delaware State police have charged a Wilmington man with fifth offense DUI after troopers say his car was weaving on a road.
Police say a trooper working in the area of Kennett Pike about 10:10 p.m. Monday saw a car traveling across all lanes and the median. Authorities say the vehicle stopped on North DuPont Road, and two troopers ordered the driver to get out.
Police say the driver refused to get out and his car rolled backward, hitting a trooper's cruiser. The driver eventually got out of the car and was arrested.
In addition to fifth offense DUI, 62-year-old Manuel Hernandez-Raya was charged with numerous traffic offenses. He's being held on $8,500 cash bail.
