WILMINGTON, Del. (AP)- Police in Delaware say have charged a New Jersey man after discovering hundreds of counterfeit DVDs during a traffic stop.

New Castle County officers stopped a car with an expired temporary registration tag on Monday near the intersection of Lancaster Pike and state Route 141 in the Wilmington area. Police say inside the car they found 300 counterfeit DVDs in the car, including recently released movies, and fliers advertising DVDs for sale for $4 each.

Police arrested 36-year-old Tyrus Davis of Salem, N.J., and charged him with trademark counterfeiting, expired tags and driving without a valid license. He was released after posting $300 secured bond.

County police say they also contacted an investigator from the Motion Picture Association in regards to the incident.
