Police in Del. Schedule 2 Weekend DUI Checkpoints

DOVER, Del.- Police in Delaware this weekend have scheduled DUI checkpoints in two different locations across the state. 

According to the state Office of Highway Safety, the checkpoints will be at the following locations:

Friday, Aug. 9

  • Newark (New Castle County DUI Task Force)                                                        

Saturday, Aug. 10

  • Milford (Milford Police Department)

The checkpoints are part of the ongoing Checkpoint Strikeforce campaign, a regional sobriety campaign aimed at taking drunk drivers off the road. The OHS said checkpoints will be conducted every weekend from now until New Year's.
