Two Arrested in Seaford Drug Bust

SEAFORD, Del.- Two people are facing drug and related charges following a police raid on their Seaford home.

Delaware State Police that following a several month-long investigation into illegal drug sales, on Wednesday morning detectives, along with the Sussex County Governor's Task Force and DSP Special Operations Response Team, executed a search warrant on a home located on the 11000 block of Orange Blossom Lane. 

Richie C. Hurley, 37, and Jessica C. Orozco, 23, both of Seaford, were taken into custody without incident. Police said three juveniles, ages 7, 15, and 17, were removed from the home and placed into a relative's care. 

Investigators said that during the execution of the search warrant, detectives located a bag of heroin weighing .025 grams, a .22-caliber rifle, ammunition and various drug paraphernalia to include hypodermic needles, scales and smoking devices. Police said numerous assorted prescriptions pills were also located in the couple's bedroom, along with more than $2,900 in suspected drug proceeds.  Detectives also located under the deck of the house two marijuana plants weighing approximately 2 grams, police said.
 
Hurley was charged with three counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited,    possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, manufacturing marijuana, four counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, third-degree conspiracy, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, possession of heroin and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ordered held in lieu of $47,500 secured bond.

Orozco was charged with third-degree conspiracy, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, possession of heroin and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on $6,500 unsecured bond.
