Two Sought in Salisbury Armed Robbery

SALISBURY, Md.- Authorities are looking for two suspects wanted for holding up a woman in the parking lot of Parkwood Apartments in Salisbury.

Detectives with the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation said the incident happened at around 7:30 a.m. Friday, when the victim walked out of her apartment to go to her vehicle. The victim told investigators that she observed two male suspects standing near her vehicle. When she entered her vehicle, she said she looked up and observed one of the suspects standing at her driver's side door.

According to detectives, one suspect brandished a handgun and demanded her purse. The victim struggled with him and was able to get her purse back, investigators said. The suspect armed with the handgun fled the scene and ran toward Schumaker Drive. The other suspect also fled the scene and ran in the direction of College Lane.

The victim did not report any injuries.

Police said both suspects were described by the victim as black males, one of whom was skinny and the other heavyset. No age or clothing description were available.
