Police Arrest Two Men for Stealing Jeep in Ocean City

WEST OCEAN CITY, Md. – Police have arrested two men for stealing a Jeep Wrangler in Ocean City.

Maryland State Police said Charles Carey, 33, of Delmar, and David Phillips, 25, of Salisbury, stole the Jeep from Hoopers' parking lot in West Ocean City.

The trooper that responded to the incident said he spoke with the victim and then searched for the vehicle. Police said trooper spotted the Jeep in the Ocean City park and ride parking lot, with Carey and Phillips inside.

Police say the pair had to have taken the vehicle between 1:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Saturday.

Both Carey and Phillips are charged with motor vehicle theft, which is a felony.
