DOVER, Del.- Dover police have three suspects in connection with a Saturday shooting that left a man hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Isaac Montague, 25, and Quavaughn Williams, 20, both of Dover, along with Nathaniel Jackson, 26, of Felton, are all charged with first-degree assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and second-degree conspiracy.

Police said the arrests stemmed from a incident that occurred at around 3:40 a.m. Saturday, when the 22-year-old victim was shot in the chest during a large fight on East Water Street in Capitol Green. The victim was transported to Bayhealth Medical Center where he underwent surgery. He is currently listed in stable condition.

Dover police officers chased three aforementioned suspects into a nearby home on the 500 block of River Road, where they were taken into custody.

Officers also recovered two .22 cal revolvers that were hidden in the basement ceiling, police said.

Following their arrests, all three suspects were ordered held in the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of $112,000 cash bonds.
