NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say a double shooting in New Castle has left one man dead and another in serious condition.
Troopers called to New Castle Avenue on Monday night for a report of multiple shots fired found a man on the shoulder suffering from a gunshot wound.
The 33-year-old man was taken to Christiana Hospital Trauma Center, where police say he was pronounced dead.
Around that time, police say staff at Wilmington Hospital alerted them that a second man had been driven in a private vehicle to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and was admitted in serious condition.
Police say the men's names are being withheld pending notification of their next of kin.
Police say they don't have information about a suspect yet.
