DOVER, Del. (AP)- A panel formed to study how Delaware should address the threat of sea level rise has put the finishing touches on its report.
Members of the Sea Level Rise Advisory Committee met Thursday to approve minor revisions to a draft document approved earlier this year.
The committee presented its report to state environmental secretary Collin O'Hare and plan to release it to the public by late September.
The report assesses the state's vulnerability to sea level rise and includes several recommendations on issues ranging from infrastructure protection and residential construction to wastewater management.
Officials acknowledged that there was not complete consensus among committee members, and the final report will include dissenting opinions, including those from the state homebuilders association and the Positive Growth Alliance, a pro-development group in Sussex County.
