Del. Panel Looks to Boost Blue-Collar Jobs

Posted:

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP)- With more than 30,000 Delawareans unemployed, a newly established state panel is exploring how the state can create more blue-collar jobs.

A task force created by the legislature earlier this year is convening Monday at the Wilmington riverfront as it begins a series of public hearings to study how state government expand the blue-collar work force.

Issues to be considered by the task force include education, job training, technology and attracting more companies to Delaware.
