Delmarva Drivers Driving with Unknown Violations

Posted:

SALISBURY, M.d.- Some drivers are getting pulled over for things they never knew were illegal in or around their car.

Having car adornments hanging on your rear view mirror, frames around your license plate and tinted windows are just a few things not allowed on Delmarva.

State troopers say it is up to an officer's discretion on whether or not you are pulled over. However, could cost up to $530 in fines.

Salisbury resident, Bill Miller was just one driver who was recently pulled over because of a small frame around his license plate. He said he had no idea there were laws against having it.

"I mean it didn't cover nothing," said Miller. "It didn't cover the stickers on the back or anything like that. Everything was legible. You could read everything."

State troopers say the most common offenses are the frame around the license plate, tinted windows and also hanging things on your rear view mirror.

While it may seem harmless, it's considered a traffic infraction and having things hang from your rear view mirror could obstruct your vision.

But like it or not, you could be pulled over for these violations.
