Dover Police Look for Two Suspects After Shots Fired

Posted:

DOVER, Del.- Dover Police confirm they are looking for two suspects after shots were fired Wednesday night.

Police have identified both suspects as 22-year-old Tyree M. Bordley and 27-year-old Perry S. Brooks.

Police say they got a report of gunshots around 9 p.m. in the area of the 200 block of Sheldrake Circle in the Cannon Mills Development, near Route 8.

Police say no one is in custody and they believe the suspects were not shooting at anyone, just into the air.

Upon arrival, officers say they encountered a vehicle matching the description given as a possible suspect vehicle. As a patrol officer made contact, police say two black male suspects ran away. A search of the area began in an attempt to locate the individuals, but police say one suspect went toward the Cranberry Run Development and then ran toward the Heatherfield Development.

A search continued with the assistance of the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit. However, police say the suspects were not located and a weapon was not recovered. Police say warrants for resisting arrest and loitering are on file and additional charges are pending after further investigation.

Anyone with information as to their whereabouts is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7111. Police say callers may remain anonymous and tips can also be submitted to law enforcement through tip lines maintained by Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or on-line at www.tipsubmit.com.
