SUSSEX COUNTY, Del -- Two men have been arrested after detectives linked them to numerous daytime residential burglaries in western Sussex County since May 2013.

Using evidence found at one burglary scene, detectives arrested 28-year-old Christopher J. Stoe of Laurel on August 12.  Detectives linked Stoe to more than 40 burglaries, some dating back to 2012.

Troopers learned Stoe was driven to and from many of those burglary scenes by 28-year-old James E. Passwaters of Bridgeville.  He was arrested on August 19.

Police say the pair were able to get away with electronics, firearms, jewelry and cash.

Stoe faces 147 charges and is being held on $216,000 bail. Passwaters is charged with 138 offenses in connection with the string of robberies and is on $40,200 bail.

State police say the investigation is still ongoing and anticipate more charges.
