Del. Man Charged with Menacing with Baseball Bat


MILFORD, Del.- A 30-year-old Milford man has been arrested, after police said he tried to hit a man with a baseball bat during an argument.

According to a release sent out by Milford Police Saturday, the argument occurred Friday, Aug. 16 in Bicentennial Park, located in the 200 block of NE Front Street. Police said Antoine Sturgis initially provided a false name to officers, but was later identified.

Sturgis has been charged with aggravated menacing, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. According to police, he also had an active warrant for his arrest from state police for an unrelated incident.

Sturgis was arraigned and committed to SCI in default of $5,600 secured bond.
