Delaware to Accept Deer Meat Donations

DOVER, Del. – The state of Delaware will soon accept deer meat donations to help feed needy residents.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control says the General Assembly is fully funding the processing and distribution of deer meat for the Sportsmen Against Hunger program.

Last year, nearly 20,000 pounds of deer meat were donated to the program. Thirty-one food pantries and shelters divided the venison to provide over 100,000 meals.
