ARLINGTON, Va.- The Washington Capitals will begin their rookie camp on Thursday, Sept. 5 through Monday Sept. 9 at Kettler Capitals Iceplex, Vice President and General Manager George McPhee announced Thursday
The on-ice workouts at the Iceplex are free and open to the public. Superior participants in rookie camp will be invited to join the veterans in training camp, which begins on Thursday, Sept. 12.
Similar to the rookie camp, all on-ice workouts of training camp are open to the public.
Capitals rookies selected to participate in the camp are right wing Tom Wilson, left wing Andre Burakovsky, defenseman Nate Schmidt and defenseman Connor Carrick.
A complete roster of all players will be released at a later date.
Following camp, the rookie players will face off against the Philadelphia Flyers' rookies at 3 p.m. at the Iceplex.
