By Mitra Zolfaghari

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- Delaware Seashore State Park is gearing up its annual nature event "From Beach to Bay," which will take place on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Delaware Seashore State Park.

Participants can walk through edible plants that are completely safe for human consumption, find out what these plants taste like and how to use them in everyday life.

Visitors continue the day exploring the outdoors in Delaware's marshlands. A park environmentalist will be present to guide participants through the various plants and animals that can be found in the marsh. Visitors will gain a better understanding about the role the marshlands play in the health of Delaware's Inland Bays.

The "Edible Plants" event will take place at 10 a.m., while the "Marsh Walk" will follow at 1 p.m.

The fee for the "Edible Plants" program is $6 per person. The fee for the "Marsh Walk" is $4. An adult must accompany all children participating in these events and visitors should wear comfortable, close-toed shoes that can get muddy.
