Man Arrested in Connection to Dover Shooting

Posted:

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say a 19-year-old man has been charged in a shooting near Dover.

Police say two men argued outside the Alder Park apartments on Sunday and agreed to settle their dispute in a fight without weapons. But police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier says as the men walked down Joshua Clayton Road, Patterson Green of Dover fired multiple rounds at the other man, striking him in the leg. Fournier says two other men nearby were not injured.

Police say the 23-year-old injured man was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.

Troopers found Green walking through the neighborhood and he was arrested. Green is charged with assault, two counts of reckless endangering and weapons violations.
