SEAFORD, Del.- Delaware State Police have arrested a Laurel man accused of stealing a construction trailer used to store tools and other equipment for Sussex County Habitat for Humanity.

Larry G. Milburn Jr., 47, is charged with third-degree burglary, theft greater than $1,500 and criminal mischief under $1,000.

Milburn's arrest stemmed from an investigation that got under way Wednesday, Aug. 28. Police said that Sussex Habitat's construction manager contacted 9-1-1 to report that someone had cut the locks off the doors of the construction trailer, located on Church Road in Seaford, and took power tools stored inside. Troopers said that during their investigation they discovered that on the same day the burglary occurred, Milburn had attempted to sell some of the stolen tools to a Seaford area welding business.

Milburn was taken into custody on Thursday, Sept. 5, and charged with the aforementioned offenses. He was also arrested for three other unrelated burglaries that allegedly occurred in the Seaford and Laurel areas. He is being held on $6,500 secured bond.
