Man Shot Multiple Times in Dover


DOVER, Del.- Dover police say a 23-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times late Monday night.

Police said the incident happened at around 11:20 p.m. on the 100 block of South New Street. When investigators arrived at the scene, they found the victim lying on the ground after having been shot multiple times in the lower back. Police said he was found to be in possession 2.1 grams of crack cocaine and a large amount of cash.

The victim was taken to Bayhealth Medical Center where he underwent emergency surgery. He was last listed as in critical but stable condition, according to police. Investigators confirmed several 9mm shell casings were located near the victim.
