Va. Officials Hope Facial Models Can Help ID Bodies

Posted:

RICHMOND, Va. (AP)- Authorities are hoping that facial reconstructions will lead to the identification of five bodies found in Central Virginia in the past 25 years.

Acting Virginia chief medical examiner William Gormley unveiled the facial models of four men and one woman on Tuesday.

Gormley says authorities hope someone will recognize the models.

Two bodies were found in Richmond in 2002 and 2011. One was found in Dinwiddie in 2007 and another was found in Petersburg in 2012.

The models also include one made from remains found in Caroline 25 years ago.

Photos of the facial models have been entered into the online National Missing Unidentified Persons Systems database.
