CAMDEN-WYOMING, Del.- Delaware State Police have arrested a Camden-Wyoming man accused of firing shots near a neighbor's home after a dispute over ATVs.

Troopers were called to Firetower Road at around 6:30 p.m. Monday for a complaint about ATVs being driven on the road. Police made contact with some youths in the area, but no arrests were made.

Troopers said that when they notified 66-year-old James F. Erbaugh, who had made the complaint, he appeared despondent with the outcome.

Troopers were called back to the area a short time later for a report of a shooting. Police say Erbaugh fired several shots from a .22-caliber handgun in the direction of a dirt pile about 160 feet from a neighbor's home.

Police said that prior to firing the shots, Erbaugh shouted several harassing statements to the 32-year-old homeowner.

Erbaugh was charged with seven counts of first-degree reckless endangering, three counts of harassment and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was ordered held in the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of a $51,000 secured bond. He was also issued a no-contact order with any of the victims and was required to surrender all weapons inside his home.
