Attorney General to Run for Md. Governor

SILVER SPRING, Md. – Another nominee is in the race for Maryland governor.

Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler announced plans to launch his run for governor on Thursday.

Gansler said he will start a statewide tour on Sept. 24 with events in Rockville, Ellicott City and Baltimore.

Gansler will be in southern Maryland on Sept. 25, western Maryland on Sept. 26, and on the Eastern Shore on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

Gansler has already held forums around Maryland to discuss some of his initial plans.

Two others seeking the nomination are Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Delegate Heather Mizeur.
