Police Searching for Theft Suspect

HARBESON, Del.- Delaware State Police are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect accused of stealing gasoline as well as various items off of farm equipment.

According to police, the crime occurred sometime in the early morning hours of Aug. 30 and Sept. 10 when a man drove his vehicle through a bean field in the 20000 block of Beaver Dam Road near Harbeson. Investigators said the man removed batteries from a tractor and forklift used in the operation of the farm.

Police said the suspect also cut a lock off a gas pump and stole an unknown amount of gasoline. Investigators believe the man depicted in surveillance photos is of a white man with a slender build wearing a T-shirt and jeans.
